Damian Lamar Lockhart is an Atlanta-based multi-hyphenate artist originally from a small town in Southwest Georgia with more churches than stoplights. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Performance Studies with a focus on African American Theatre from Kennesaw State University and began his career as a directing and performance intern at Actor’s Express Theatre Company.

Through a Southern Black Queer lens, Damian creates theatre that challenges audiences intellectually while inviting emotional transformation. He believes storytelling should be communal, and allow audiences to see themselves within the work and confront their own truths.
